We all know that it'll be made eventually, but as of now it doesn't exist and we have no way of making it so. There's no point waiting around for it to appear, that could be soon, but it could take forever. While we wait, we can try a different avenue to collect players. :) Hence, Fretta is out of the picture for now.

Has anyone considered TheHidden:Source Beta?

Granted it is a third party steam mod, but it still requires teamwork and a high level of communication that I think is what the Tectonic Community is really about. A small group teaming up to take one individual.

Downside: Like TTT It has recently gained a resurgence due to Seananners and other youtubers playing+streaming it.

If you're going to consider it from that angle, any gamemode hosted in GMod13 is going to require some amount of coding and adapting. DarkRP is going to be intensive, even TTT is going to require a fair amount of work to get integration with ULX and other plugins, and I have my doubts that it's going to come working straight out-of-the-box in 5 days with the switch from Lua 5.1 to LuaJit, removal of glua and so on. Currently on the Testing Lab server, cl_init.lua doesn't even run, and that's the "root" lua file that initializes all others in the gamemode. So if the idea of waiting a period of time is truly that aversive (barring a coder to hack things together), then GMod 13 as a whole shouldn't even be considered (at this point in time).

But then, this topic itself has been around for just about a week now, and the Testing Lab server has gone virtually unused for about three weeks now. So I honestly can't help but wonder what harm some more waiting will cause.

I'll be willing to do some coding, I've had experience in the C family, mainly C++, know how to write Lua, and have done some addons and gamemodes before.
