Happy New Year TG!
« on: 02 January, 2015, 07:49:57 AM »
Hello everybody!

2014 was a very interesting year for TG. It was a year full of highs and lows. There were times of great laughs and times of great sorrow. There were various experiments, with both server content, servers, and administration protocols.

Approximately 1 year ago, Tal approached me and asked me if I wanted to create a Minecraft server for TG. I figured why not - and then discovered that making a modpack is not as easy as it seemed. It took a rigorous 2 months to test and iron glitches out, and even at the end of it all - not all of the glitches were ironed out. Then finally, we released it to the public and it sadly only lasted a few months. But those were some of the best few months I have ever had on TG.

I realize there is a thread for resolutions, but I decided to save mine for this post (which was supposed to be yesterday, but I got caught up in other stuff). I resolve to do anything in my power to bring back this community to its former glory and greatness. I realize I lack the presence and will to play on the servers sometimes, but I resolve to improve on that.

So what are some of your memories of 2014? They do not have to be TG related, but feel free to share!

Thank you all again for being here and making TG what it is. I do not think I would be able to continue on if it were not for all the wonderful people here.

one ff my best memories was actually on minecraft. For those that remember when I joined and had no idea all the mods installed. I built a sick fort then went exploring the magical world only to find a fancy book that teleported me into a new dimension.  Many laughs were shared as people helped me get out.

Man, Another year for TG eh?

I remember joining TG back in March of 2012. A day after its launch, and man can I say, The community has evolved a lot. I remember little of the old peeps in the current times and it seems like an entirely new community all together. Above all tho, I can say that as TG nears its third birthday and even tho I'm not really apart of the game anymore, It is nice to see it having gone as far as it did.

The community overcame a lot of troubles at launch. The launch while more personal reasons involved was quite strained and I'm sure Tal remembers the roller coaster that was the staff conflict at launch- hue. Despite everything tho, Back then we stuck it through, and now I'm glad to see nigh on three years later, TG is still holding up.

Good work guys, all of you. Keep up the good work TG staff, and keep on shooting and stabbin' each other TG community ;) Also- "Do you want a turtle?"
